After three rounds of seeking proposals, the Public Service Department (PSD) still has $150,532.50 available in grant funding through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. Rather than returning these funds to the federal government, the PSD is offering one final application window to all eligible municipalities — applications are due by 4:30 PM next week on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Municipalities that received EECBG funding previously are welcome to apply again! To help streamline the process, PSD developed a simplified application template. Many exciting applications have been received so far. Proposals need not be complex — for example, several towns have been awarded funds for straightforward projects like adding an electric vehicle to their fleet.
