Are you a land trust, municipality, trail center, nature center, or other entity that manages trails? The Trail Accessibility Hub is accepting applications for trail assessments. There isn't a deadline to apply, but only 50 trails will be assessed, so apply soon.

What Does This Program Fund?

This technical assistance program evaluates existing trails or proposed sites from the perspective of individuals with mobility challenges and provides practical, professional recommendations to improve and build adaptive aquatic, pedestrian, and adaptive mountain bike (aMtb) trails. Key aspects of the assessment focus on improvement suggestions, parking, signage and information, support facilities like restrooms, trail information, and post-rain conditions. The assessment is valued at $2,000, which is fully covered by the Vermont Trails and Greenways Council.
