Running a VT municipality is complicated. We can help you uncomplicated it.
VLCT is constantly looking for creative ways to make your work easier and grow your capacity – knowledge, skills, access - without increasing your annual dues to do so. One of the ways we are doing this is by pursuing and attracting grant funding to deepen our bench so we can help support you when you when you need it the most. VLCT has long had municipal attorneys (our excellent Municipal Assistance Center – “MAC”) to answer legal questions for our members. Now, thanks to $1 million in funding through RD’s Disaster Assistance Fund, VLCT now has a complementary arm to help towns where the rubber meets the road in the practical application of the law in daily municipal operations.
Whether you are new in your role and trying to find your way, tackling new work in unfamiliar terrain, or just need guidance or advice on a sticky topic, our Municipal Operations Assistance team can help. They are experts with decades of experience working for and with Vermont local government - management and administration, finance, operations, project development, planning, grants and funding - and are here to help you.
