Vermont Health Connect is the exchange being developed in Vermont in response to the federal ACA. A product of the Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA), Vermont Health Connect will be up and running by 10/01/2013 for coverage beginning 01/01/2014. Federal Health Insurance Reform

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance reform passed by the U.S. Congress in 2010, is so complex that it is being interpreted and enacted in a gradual, continuous process. Information on the complete federal legislation is available elsewhere; this webpage focuses on the items that are likely to be of particular concern to municipal governments. As information becomes available, we will identify the topics that relate to VLCT members and add explanations here. Please return here periodically to see which topics have been updated.
