The City of Montpelier is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the City's Community Services Department.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support and customer service for the three vibrant and busy divisions of the newly-formed City of Montpelier’s Community Services Department: Recreation, Montpelier Senior Activity Center, and Parks and Trees. This position utilizes communication and organizational skills to serve a diverse and constantly evolving customer base, community partners, and others.
Requirements include demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office, database experience, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, high-distraction environment, supervise volunteers, and do some lifting. Desired skills include copy-editing, accounts payable, and cash-handling.
