I Love a Parade

In 1931, Harold Arlen and Ted Koehler wrote “I Love a Parade,” a song whose sentiment is shared by scads of Vermonters, especially as the arrival of clement weather makes us forget all about Mud Season. As proof of this, look no further than images from these public events: the 66th Annual Hardwick Spring Festival and Memorial Day Parade, Adamant’s 13th Annual Black Fly Festival, Barre’s 2016 Heritage Festival, and the 40th annual Northfield Labor Day Parade. More pictures will follow as new photoworthy events occur. We would love to include pictures from your town parade or festival. Please email VLCT News Editor David Gunn if you have some images to share with your fellow Vermonters. [Hardwick, Adamant, Barre, and Northfield photographs by David Gunn.]
