Does your community want to build a local resilience team? Do you have Hazard Mitigation Plan issues that need creative outreach methods, or volunteers to get the work done? Then attend the Resilient Vermont Summit, scheduled for April 29, 2017, in Northfield, Vermont.

Hosted by Norwich University's new Center for Global Resilience and Security, the summit will include a morning of presentations by local action teams (community resilience organizations, or CROs), resource providers, and academic researchers, along with a noon keynote address on social engagement from Rebecca Sanborn Stone. The day is designed so people can attend both the summit to plan local projects and join the Climate Rally at the State House in Montpelier.
The new Center for Global Resilience and Security at Norwich University is creating an Academic Resilience Collaborative, a network of academic researchers in our region who are working on climate resilience issues. Norwich is hosting ARC's first meeting in combination with the CROs annual summit to best allow for an exchange of ideas.
